I’m Izzie Price — a London-based journalist, editor, and ghostwriter. I help people turn real experiences into writing that feels clear, human, and unmistakably in your voice: memoirs and life stories, family legacy projects, speeches, and narrative-led personal statements.

My background

I come from first-person journalism — the kind that starts with listening. As a freelance lifestyle journalist and health writer, I’ve written across relationships, culture, and women’s health, with a particular interest in stories where people have felt dismissed, misunderstood, or misdiagnosed.

My pieces have been published by many national publications and have been read by millions of readers.

Over the years, I’ve written for publications including:

  • Refinery29 (UK)
  • HuffPost (UK)
  • The Independent
  • The Telegraph
  • Stylist
  • Glamour (UK)
  • Cosmopolitan (UK)
  • Metro (UK)
  • The i
  • VICE (UK)
  • Reader’s Digest (UK)
  • Wellcome Collection

I also regularly write women’s health features for Daye and Giddy.

Editorial experience

I’m a part-time editor at Metro UK’s Platform section (First Person & Opinion), where I edit first-person stories, opinion pieces, and columns. I also write “As Told To” articles based on phone/Zoom interviews.

That work has shaped how I approach ghostwriting: with care, structure, and respect for the person behind the story — especially when the topic is sensitive.

How my ghostwriting works

The best ghostwriting doesn’t replace your voice — it reveals it.

My process is interview-led and built around voice capture. We gather your story through conversations and materials (notes, letters, photos, recordings), then I shape it into a readable narrative with a clear arc. Along the way, you review drafts and steer the direction, so the finished piece still feels like you. If you want the step-by-step flow, see the process.

What I can help you write

Voice and confidentiality

Most clients come with the same worry: “Will it still sound like me?”
Voice capture is central at every step — from interviews to drafts to polish. And because many stories are personal, discretion is treated as standard practice, with clear boundaries and a calm, structured process.
